Resident Spotlight

Meet Hattie

Hattie was born in 1936 and had nine siblings. Hattie was the oldest daughter with five brothers before her. She did a lot of work around the house from milking cows to scrubbing the wood floors. Whatever needed to be done she was there to help. She was a big part of her siblings lives as they were a big part in hers.

Hattie married her husband who was also raised in a large family. Her husband served in the Air Force for thirty years. They lived in Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee together. They have three beautiful children together, two boys and one girl. Her greatest accomplishment has been being a mother to their children.

Hattie enjoys cooking, being with other people, and she loves sports. She had a restaurant in her hometown of Darlington, Florida. She also was a maid supervisor for an Air Force barracks in Tennessee. Hattie and her husband received national recognition in Tennessee. She is an advocate for God and the family unit. She enjoyed working the many years she did with the youth at her church in her hometown. Hattie is delighted in sharing her love and contagious smile and laughter.

Meet Amber 

Amber was raised in Esto, Florida with her older brother. She has a beautiful three year old daughter. Her daughter is her world, she strives every day to be the best mother she can be. She loves spending her time outside of work with her daughter and loved ones. Amber enjoys cleaning, cooking, swimming, and sharing love and joy with our residents. Her favorite place is the river. She loves the nature and how peaceful and quiet it is.

Amber has been an employee at Madison Heights and Kelly Place since March of 2019. She is passionate about her work and our residents. Amber strives to be better at her job each and every day. Everyone loves her and feels she is very hard working, reliable, loving, and caring coworker and employee.

Resident Spotlight

Meet Imogene 

Imogene was born in 1925 alongside her twin sister, Unodean.
She fell in love and married her husband, Silas, in Centre, Alabama. Together they had 2 boys, Kelsey and Regi.

Imogene takes pride in everything she has accomplished. Along with being a dedicated mother and homemaker, she ran the dairy her family owned. She enjoyed gardening, especially raising vegetables and caring for her sunflower patch. Imogene also has a passion for painting. 

Imogene and Silas have 4 grandchildren, Allison, Johnathan, Kendall and Camden. They have 3 great grandchildren, Mary Mason, Everett and Cal.

The couple lived a happy and joyous life. Silas passed at the age of 75 in 2001.

Imogene loves spending time with family and really enjoys the little ones. She delights in singing and partaking in arts and crafts projects.

Resident Spotlight

Meet Becky

Becky was born in the Pleasant Grove Community near Ozark, Alabama. She was the fifth of six children. She married Lu Max and had two daughters, Donna and Susan, and one son, Gary. Becky and Max lived in the Rocky Head Community and have been married for 60 years. She worked as a bank teller in Ozark and in her free time, enjoyed caring for her flowers, quilting with other ladies in the community, and playing the piano. She has 5 grandchildren and is expecting her first great-grandson in May.

Associate Spotlight

Meet Brent

Brent is our January Employee of the Month! He is from a small town in Florida and moved to Enterprise in November to pursue working with seniors. Before moving to Alabama, he worked at Ridge Area Arc for 14 years, which is a facility that specializes in caring for adults with mental disabilities. Brent also worked for The Manor at Lake Jackson, a memory care facility in Florida where he was a med tech and CNA. 

Brent says, “I enjoy my job and duties at Kelley Place and Madison Heights because I possess so much compassion for the elderly.”
